Warangel India Crusade

What can I say? Words seem to fail me right now.  I am truly speechless as to what took place the last night of our India crusade.  Our Indian crusade director told me that he was astonished at what happened.  He has been in India his whole life and he said to me that he was amazed at the results we had because this was our first time conducting a crusade in India.  I was so humbled to hear such kind words, especially because they came from a man with so much integrity.

The last night of the crusade the crowd grew to over 25,000! I preached on the power of God! I shared on the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5.  I told the people that the bible says this woman suffered for 12 yrs and she spent all that she had on many different physicians but never got better, rather her terrible disease only got worse.  And then one day she heard there was a man claiming to be the Messiah, the King of Kings.  She heard this man was not only healing the sick but He was healing the sick of some of the worst diseases of that day including leprosy. I told these precious people that it doesn’t matter what their condition is and it doesn’t matter what has happened in their life, Jesus really wanted to touch them!  He wants to heal them from any sickness or past wounds. He is the great physician and He is the lover of all souls!

We saw thousands respond to the invitation to accept Christ! We heard many wonderful testimonies of miracles including the man that was deaf for years in his right ear.  The Holy Spirit opened his ear and he could hear clearly.  As you can imagine this man was so excited, as was also the crowd!!

For all of you who contributed to this crusade financially and prayerfully I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!  I am very honored that you partnered with us as we attempt to reap a global harvest for Jesus.  I am so very blessed to be able to do what I do and I certainly do not take this mission lightly!  Again I say thank you!

Final Report of our Pakistan Crusade

To all of our faithful partners,

Below is the report that our crusade director in Pakistan (Pastor Khalid Shaheen) sent to me.  We are so very grateful for what the Lord has done.  We give all the glory to Jesus!

Dear Evangelist Bernie and partners of BMM,

It is with great joy and privilege for me to send this report to you of the great harvest of souls that was reaped at our Pakistan Crusade.

We thank God that 4 days of evangelistic meetings have come to completion successfully and safely. We thank God for the mighty and wonderful things the Lord has done. Each night God moved mightily and a powerful anointing of the Lord was always present. There were thousands of Muslims who came to the meetings and made a public decision for the Lord and got healed.  Among the local churches there is such great joy and excitement to see these people saved and healed. Altogether in 4 nights of evangelistic meetings over 38000 people heard the clear message of the Gospel. Over 28000 people have made a decision for the Lord! We very much hope and trust that these people will be integrated in the local churches and many more new churches in surrounding villages will be established.  It is wonderful to know that the local pastors will do everything to hold on to these believers.

The Lord confirmed His word with great signs and wonders, healings and deliverance. Each night we heard faith building testimonies of God’s supernatural healing. Sunday, a boy name TAHIR who is 15 years old was mute since birth. In the meeting the Lord opened his tongue. The funny thing was, I asked him to repeat English words after me. His English words were clearer than his Urdu words. A friend of mine from the US clearly understood what he was speaking. He was jumping with joy. That brought so much joy and glory to God in the crowd. People were clapping and dancing to see this miracle. Another boy who was 8 years old and was born blind, his eyelids were completely closed that is until Jesus healed him! This was so amazing! His mother cried such happy tears for what the Lord had done!  A boy who is 10 years old had several small tumors in his stomach, got completely healed.  His mother raised up his shirt to show us. It was wonderful!  An elderly man who had been paralyzed for ten years and could not walk started walking to the pulpit. God has been so good to us!

Please pray:

  • For the follow up work
  • For Literature helping people to grow in the Lord
  • Financial support of the new church planters

God bless and thanks again for your prayers.

In His Service,

This was such a climax! I attended this crusade with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and it was as God opened the pages of the bible and allowed me to walk in it.  I thought I was dreaming when I stood there on the platform listening to Evangelist Bonnke preach so passionately in front of 500,000 people.  It was utterly amazing!  The healings that took place there were simply of biblical proportions; blind eyes opening, deaf ears opening, mute speaking, lame walking…It was just so amazing! Words just can’t describe the experience of going on one of his crusades.

Year End Report

I would like to thank all of you who have faithfully stood with us this year. Your prayers and financial support made our soul winning crusades in Pakistan possible!  Because of you, over 25,000 new souls will spend eternity with Jesus! That is amazing!!  I just can not say thank you enough.

Please, do read Pastor Cornelius’ report, who is BMM’s head leader in Pakistan responsible
for the post-crusade work processes.

During this year alone, and despite the very tense situation, 22 churches were founded through this kind of work.
Our goal and purpose is to gather a maximal harvest after the Crusade. As our first step we take care of the decision cards. They are counted and sorted out according to the areas, towns and villages they represent. Then, a meeting with local leaders is called in order to hand over the decision cards as well as to encourage them and mobilize them to visit new believers in villages and towns. Together, these church leaders and church planters visit these people personally on a one-on-one basis. The believers eventually invite them into their homes. Usually, if 2-3 or more members of the family have received Jesus into their lives, the door of this house is opened for the church planter. The local leader and pastor introduce the church planter to the families he will visit regularly for their spiritual feeding and fellowship. This is how a house church starts.

Key Persons

The next step after the one-on-one strategy, they try to find out how many families in one village have accepted Jesus. After examining this, the whole body of believers in that village is introduced to each other. During this process the Lord gives the church planters ‘a Man of Peace’. This Man of Peace becomes the leader of the village who becomes the link between the church planter and the village. A couple of weeks or months later, the fellowships of several houses decide to cooperate and meet together. Together with a couple of key people in the village, a proper meeting place is decided upon. Now the battle starts.

Persecution

As the joined meeting of new body of believers starts, persecution begins from the inside and the outside. Muslims living in the area become angry seeing believers who gather for joined times of worship. But God has always been faithful: As soon as the persecution starts, God comes in with His power, using these new believers. In one village, for example, God started using a newly born young man with healing power. A married couple came for prayer, sharing with him the woman was 8 months pregnant; yet, the baby was in a wrong position. Doctors told them about c-section, but they had no money. Intercessor of this newly planted church prayed and when the time came the baby was born normal. This testimony touched the whole village and they stopped persecuting them. In another village, a young boy who was crippled was healed by the Lord miraculously and as the whole village saw the miracle of this young boy walking normal and working in a shop, in a wrong position. Doctors told them about c-section, but they had no money. Intercessor of this newly planted church prayed and when the time came the baby was born normal. This testimony touched the whole village and they stopped persecuting them. In another village, a young boy who was crippled was healed by the Lord – miraculously and as the whole village saw the miracle of this young boy walking normal and working in a shop, they were amazed and stopped persecuting Christians.

The Church as a Hospital

It is normal that a newly planted church becomes like a small hospital; sick people are brought there and men and women of God pray for them and they are healed. In another village, the local Muslim clerics were provoking Muslims to persecute Christians. Suddenly, his daughter got demon possessed. Although his family did everything, nothing was able to help. Eventually, he brought the girl to the church believers prayed and the girl got delivered immediately. That brought a tremendous change in the life of the Muslim priest and his family.  The testimony touched the Muslims enormously.

Solid Bible Teaching

Our responsibility is to visit these newly planted churches as often as possible to see if they get solid, Bible based teaching. Our first goal once the church is planted is to make sure that people experience the Holy Spirit. For this, we organize a seminar for village churches where various local villages get invited. This seminar is extremely helpful for the local church planter as well as the new body of believers: In the seminar all sorts of questions they struggle with are answered, and they get baptized with the Holy Spirit. Secondly, they understand that they are not all alone. They are connected with the other members of the body of believers.

Needs

So far, we have planted 157 churches all over Pakistan. Many of them are working on building a simple meeting place. The biggest needs these newly planted churches have are of financial nature, to help them build a simple place of joined worship. The church planters would need transportation bicycles, and some who are currently taking care of many churches in the several villages need motorbikes. A lot of church planters need financial help for the simple reason that the newly planted churches cannot support them financially. We also need more members of our organizing team to reach more cities and villages for follow up and subsequently for helping new church planters in their challenges.

Last Crusade – Call of salvation

During the last evening, even on the way to the crusade location, we could feel the unseen world stirring. During the call for salvation I suddenly had the impression: “Don’t stand still – move back and forth, so you won’t be an easy target if someone aims at you!” At the same time, Khalid as well as another evangelist had the same impression and went to hide from the crowd. It all went very fast from there: Suddenly commotion went through the masses, armed security forces ran to the back and pursued some fleeing persons, while we tried calming down the crowd, being determined to call people to Jesus Christ, their Savior. Later, we learned what had really happened: Four armed terrorists with machine guns had disguised themselves as police men in order to kill us. At the time of our alter call they got ready to shoot us, when at the last moment one of the security men identified them as terrorists. Three of them were able to escape the chase, yet one has been caught. The enemy is “roaring” and he does not like what is happening in his territory at all. But in the midst of this “storm,” we were able to see how God revealed Himself as Savior, performing miracles, and healing the blind and the lame; especially many tumor stricken people were healed. 13,000 people came to the very last evening of the crusade alone, and 13,229 decision cards were being filled out by people who had accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Final Night of Crusade in Pakistan

Tonight the crowd grew to over 13,000! And several of our buses got stopped by extremist trying to prevent the people from coming to the crusade. The police came to their rescue and, thankfully, there was no one hurt and they were able to attend. I preached tonight on Luke 14 and how there was a great man who had prepared a great supper and he had invited certain people but they all made excuses as to why they could not come. The master became angry and sent his servant out and said, “Go to the highways and byways and COMPEL them to come in that my house may be full.” I told these desperate, hopeless people that this King of Kings has every one of their names on a special invitation list and He is asking them, pleading with them to come and feast at His table. And man did they respond. It was really a glorious finale!

A very dangerous situation took place tonight. As I began to give the invitation to accept Christ, I noticed a huge commotion going on in the back of the crowd. Many people stood up and ran to the back. I had no idea what was going on but I knew it wasn’t good because the Pakistani people are very respectful and quiet when someone is speaking. Just a few minutes later when I was finished the security/military team came and whisked me away and when I got into the car the chief of police told us that 4 extremist dressed as police officers came to the meeting to try to kill me. The police noticed that these guys were not with us and that they were all carrying guns, so a fight broke out. One guy was captured but 3 took off on foot. A few brave officers took off after them but the majority stayed with us because they were worried about our safety. All the while I didn’t realize it was that bad. Man when I heard about this, a ton scriptures came to life such as PS.23, PS.91:7, 2Sam.22:30-31 etc…God is good!

This has been an incredible trip where the gospel was preached to members of unreached people groups. Many hopeless people were offered hope through Jesus. God moved in miraculous ways. Thank you for fighting on behalf of these people through prayer and by sending me as a representative of Jesus. Thank you for fighting on my behalf for safety and divine protection.

Together in His service,

Bernie Moore

mensaltarcallPreached this morning at a local underground church. Due to the extreme oppression and persecution these precious saints deal with I shared a very encouraging word on the promise that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. The world may forsake us, family members, friends and co-workers may forsake us but Jesus promised to never leave nor forsake us. Matter of fact, not only did He promise not to forsake us, He promised to send us the Holy Spirit, the great comforter! He said for us not to fear because no matter what we are going through, He will always be with us.

Tonight the crowd grew to over 6,500! People were coming from all the surrounding villages. The buses we rented were so packed that people were hanging out the windows and sitting on the roofs. As we arrived the crusade director said please do not start yet because there is a line of buses still trying to get in. There was such an atmosphere of expectancy; it was unbelievable!

I preached with fierceness. I felt the blanket of the Holy Spirit around me as I ministered. I shared with the people the story of Nicodemus coming to meet Jesus at night, just like we have to come to meet Jesus tonight. I shared with them that although Nicodemus was a great teacher of the law, although he had attained great wealth and great status with man, although he climbed the latter of success and was looked up to by all his peers, Nicodemus was still searching. Wealth, fame, a great reputation, and success did not satisfy him. He was searching for something that no man could give him. Knowledge had left him empty, all the money he had attained still left him poor spiritually and his reputation and status he worked so hard to build didn’t bring him the least bit of fulfillment. What Nicodemus had spent most of his life searching for was standing right in front of him and He didn’t realize it, at least not at first. Jesus said Nicodemus are you the teacher of Israel and you do not know these things? He like all of us was searching for something to fill the emptiness inside him.

Then I gave the invitation. I told the people that the one thing that they have all been looking for was standing right in front of them. I begged them not to leave without meeting their creator! And boy they didn’t. They responded to the invitation by the thousands!! I wish everyone who is reading this email could have witnessed it. It was amazing!!

Then we prayed for the sick. The healings that took place were unspeakable! What do you say when you see a grown man who had a tumor on his stomach come up to the altar to testify that God has healed him!! The tumor was completely gone! He was lifting up his shirt and running all over the stage showing us. Or I think about the mom who brought up her 3-month-old daughter who had a tumor on the inside of her right thigh and she testified with flood of tears that Jesus has healed her child! The tumor was completely gone! The doctors told, sorry there is nothing else we can do for you. God always does what man cannot do!

Thank you for all your prayers and support! It is so very much appreciated. You have made an eternal difference in thousands of lives.

Bless you!!!!!

Sargodha, Pakistan

Wow! As I reflect on our time in the city of Sargodha, Pakistan, I am certainly amazed at all that God has done!  I can truly say in the words of the great prophet Jeremiah 32:27 – “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”  I always knew it to be true but while in Sargodha I witnessed it first hand! What can I say God did unspeakable things!  When I launched the boat out into the deep for Salvation we almost sank!  Almost 11,000 responded over 4 nights!  Countless miracles took place including the healing of a little 7-year-old girl who had a tumor on her neck that caused severe pain throughout her whole body!  Jesus completely HEALED her! Wow!!  Another elderly lady who was carried to the crusade on a bed by 4 men because she hadn’t walked in 2 years got HEALED!  She got up off her bed and walked across the stage!  It was so awesome!  The field, covered with converted Muslims gave Jesus a mighty praise!!  Pastors and church leaders wept at what they were witnessing. I myself had to hold back the tears as I felt the Holy Spirit hovering over that great field!  Darkness was overtaken by the awesome light of Gods glory!   I continue to thank God daily for all that He has done!  The city of Sargodha will never be the same.

Enjoy the pictures!
Desiring Jesus!
Yours in His service,

Bernie Moore

Crusade Report: SARGODHA

.

April 20th – April 28th Bernie will be in Sargodha, Pakistan for an evangelistic crusade.

We expect 8000- 12000 people to attend. There are approximately only 2000 – 2500 Christians in the entire area.

SARGODHA is the 10th largest city in Pakistan; 99% of the population is Muslim with a few other Hindu people group in the city.

mosque

The spiritual climate is in disunity, apathy and discouragement. There is not much zeal for the gospel, but rather coldness, routine and tradition. There is fear of persecution from the Muslims and present terrorist situation.

Christian normally face mental and physical torture almost everyday at their work place, kids in the school and colleges face, prejudice and discrimination, sense of unlovedness. Christian Women & children who work in the homes of the land lords are abused and many times beaten. They are mocked for their Christian faith. They are threatened to be quite otherwise face the consequences. Many times Christians are told, since this is an Islamic country, you are not Pakistanis, if you are not Muslim.

The political situation as whole of the country is not good. On the other hand military operation against Pakistan Teleban and Al Qaeda is going on in the northern part of Pakistan. Al Qeda and Taleban have warned the country for suicide bombing all over Pakistan. 2 days ago, there was an attack on the “training center of the Police in Lahore”. In the presence of 900 Police men who were doing their training. Taliban terrorists took over this building and Police together with rangers and Pakistan army fought for 8 hours against them and rescued the hostages and eventually evacuated the building.

Prayer requests are there for the Crusade.
- Continuous Unity of the leaders
- Peace in the city as the political situation of the country is quite sensitive.
- God’ favor for the organizing team for permission and other various help from the local authorities.
- Against spiritual warfare & strongholds in the city. There has been strong resistance against the gospel in the city.
